With over 24 years of video production experience and over $8 million in video sales, Jim Dotson serves as Director of Marketing and Executive Producer for LAE Productions.   Jim has served in virtually every area of television music production having recorded over 400 hours of concert footage featuring top performing artists.   He has also produced corporate video projects and documentaries for several Fortune 500 clients and many large privately held companies.   Prior to joining LAE Productions in 1998, Jim served as president of Take One Productions, where he produced projects for 3M, Wendy's, UPS, IBM, Martin Marietta, Entergy, Searle Pharmaceuticals, Southern California Edison, K&B Drug Stores, Holiday Inn, GTE and Air Products.  

During 1995, Jim served as Associate Producer for the "Live From The House Of Blues" television series where he oversaw all production editing for domestic and international versions of the show.   Other music projects included The Band, Dr. John, Farm-Aid VII, Essential Gospel and The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

In 1996, Jim produced the PBS documentary "The Message In The Music", a 1-hour program on Contemporary Christian Music.   He also produced a documentary on Muddy Waters.   Other projects included "Music Inferno - Atlanta '96", a series of 21 concerts taped at the House of Blues in Atlanta during the Olympic Games.   Included in the series was a 90-minute special for VH-1 featuring The Blues Brothers.   Concerts for Tito Puente, George Clinton, Al Green, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Bob Dylan were also produced.

During 1997, Jim produced the music special "Oleta Adams in Concert".   In 1999, Jim produced 3 national commercials for Sony Music Direct featuring Iyanla Vanzant as well as an EPK for Iyanla's CD, "In The Meantime."    In addition, Jim produced the PAX-TV Network special "Avalon Live @ The Factory," a 1-hour music special for Sparrow Records.  

During the past few years, Jim has served as executive producer for "Inside Saints", the official weekly magazine show of the New Orleans Saints and "Inside Zephyrs Baseball," for the New Orleans Zephyrs.   In addition, he has also served as executive producer for "Tiger Tracks", a monthly sports magazine show for LSU and "The Tim Floyd Show", the official weekly magazine show of The New Orleans Hornets.

Other projects include an 8-part DVD series for Bruce Wilkinson's "The Dream Giver", and promotional video projects for Nokia and ADP.

When he's not trying to land the next deal, Jim enjoys reading, playing table tennis, cooking, playing sax and flute and spending time with his wife and three children.
