WLAE is proud to partner with the Historic New Orleans Collection and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in their Musical Louisiana Concert Series, performed at St. Louis Cathedral each year. WLAE tapes and live-streams each concert, and transforms them into one-hour specials featuring musical highlights and commentary by the LPO, HNOC, and headlining performers. The concert specials are broadcast on WLAE-TV and LPB affiliate stations statewide.
All major public events including Mardi Gras, Jazzfest and the French Quarter Festival were cancelled through most of 2021 due to a COVID resurgence.
Vienna, Leipzig, and New Orleans
Filmed with no audience in the Cathedral, as New Orleans began to lock down at the beginning of the pandemic.
